Hibernians March For Life
The 49th annual March for Life in Washington, D.C. held on January 21st is in the history books. An estimated crowd of over 150,000 young people and school groups, men and women including many officers and members of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and Ladies AOH gathered to celebrate life from the moment of conception, and to make their voices heard and to be part of this historic and exciting year in the pro-life movement and the history of our country.
Every year since the Supreme Court wrongly decided Roe v Wade in 1973, making abortion legal in all 50 states, supporters from around the world have converged on the National Mall and marched together past the Capitol Building straight to the Supreme Court’s steps in peaceful protest.
“Equality begins in the womb. It begins at fertilization and we simply cannot deny the most vulnerable among us – the unborn – their equal and undeniable God given right to life. When it comes to this dignity, skin color doesn’t matter, disability status doesn’t matter, socioeconomic background doesn’t matter; what matters is the fact that every life is precious and deserving of protection.” (Jeanne Mancini, President, March For Life Education and Defense Fund)
