Hibernians Achieve Eagle Scout Status

Two Eagles are better than one! 🦅
This afternoon at our Hall, our Suffolk County Legislator Kevin McCaffrey had the opportunity to recognize Eagle Scouts Daniel Thomas Haubenreich of Lindenhurst’s Troop 398 and Ryan Patrick Dunn of Babylon’s Troop 194 at their respective Eagle Scout Courts of Honor.

For Daniel’s project, he chose to support Adopt A Battalion, an organization that collects and ships care packages to active military battalions overseas. He chose to help this organization in honor of his grandfather, Richard Olsen, who was a very dedicated Adopt-A-Battalion volunteer.

For Ryan’s project, he built two mobile food pantries for the Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 2 Babylon NY. Ryan is the grandson of Tom Collins, who was Division 2 Hibernian of the Year in 2020 prior to his unfortunate passing. Tom Collins was noted by the Division for his great work in helping to organize many of the food drives hosted by the Hibernians as well as the distribution of the food to many food pantries in the area.

Please see the picture attached.

Congratulations Scouts!
