THE 88TH ANNUAL
ST. PATRICK'S DAY PARADE
SUNDAY, MARCH 13, 2022
The Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH) would again like to extend a tremendous thank you to all that came out and supported our efforts for the 86th Annual Huntington St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The festivities were an enormous success, the weather was great, and the attendees were not in short supply. So many came out to watch as our Grand Marshal; the Honorable W. Gerard Asher, as he led the procession down New York Avenue and Main Street. We look forward to hosting the parade on Sunday, March 13th 2022.
The Huntington St. Patrick’s Parade is Long Island’s oldest and largest, and features dozens of pipe bands, including some of the metro area’s finest. Few realize the expense to run such a major event, which includes band sponsorship fees, insurance, and advertising. Some mistakenly believe the Town runs and pays for the parade; it does not. The Huntington Ancient Order of Hibernians has organized and paid all of the costs of this wonderful parade every year since 1930 (there were no parades during WWII).
The AOH raises funds through a special St. Patrick’s Day journal insert, which will published in Newsday on March 10, 2022. Newsday's pull-out special section contains all the parade specifics, a history of the parade, and lots of pictures from past parades, along with advertisements paid for by our generous sponsors.
