Frank Gerham Jr. : Past historian Division 18, Peekskill, national lifetime member and past national historian.
We mourn the death of Rochester Hibernian Brother Frank Gerham Jr. who was suddenly called home to our Lord on Tuesday. Please join AOH NY State President John Manning in prayer for Brother Gerham Jr. and his family.
Frank joined the Colonel Patrick O’Rorke Division 7 in 2005. All who were fortunate enough to know Frank will tell you he lived our Motto of Friendship, Unity, and Christian Charity every day. He was always involved in some project, event, or effort in service to his brothers and community. He served on the Executive Board as Division Treasurer for almost a decade. He was Chair of the Membership Committee and was tasked to coordinate outreach to division brothers during COVID. He Co-Chaired the O’Reilly Memorial Charity Golf Tournament for five years, working tirelessly to ensure a great tournament for all who attended while raising several thousands of dollars for charity.
He regularly volunteered to support veteran charities and cooked for families at Ronald McDonald House. If there was a special event or fundraiser for a brother in need, Frank was always there. Frank was a proud advocate for the reunification of Ireland. As busy as he was, Frank always seemed to have time for a pint, lunch, chat, or a round of golf with a Hibernian. His devotion to his AOH brothers was second only to his devotion to his family and his faith. He will be greatly missed by many.
May You Rest in Eternal Peace Brother.
