September New York State Immigration Report

The legacy of our Order is built upon the shoulders of giants who laid a solid foundation of courageous defense of our faith, heritage and culture and fraternal spirit dedicated to welcoming, serving and protecting immigrants from Ireland.  One such giant to whom we owe an enormous debt of gratitude is my immediate predecessor, Dan Dennehy, who served as a zealous immigration advocate on behalf of the Hibernians and has built a solid foundation of immigration advocacy for the Order.  I will continue to work with Chairman Emeritus Dennehy to build upon his legacy.

My first initiative has been to work closely with the AOH NYS Political Education Committee to strengthen our outreach with our elected leaders from both sides of the aisle.  This initiative will be coupled with a series of events designed to engage the Irish community on immigration issue with the hope of creating a robust network for timely political outreach and action.  We look forward to working with all of our brothers and sisters in Hibernianism in advocating for better immigration policies, especially for those in our ancestral homeland who seek to immigrate here to America!     Go méadai Dia thú!
