New York State Board Advertising, Marketing, and Recruitment Grant Application
RULES FOR NEW YORK STATE AOH RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION PROMOTIONAL GRANTS
The New York State Board will allocate funds to this program to assist local divisions and counties in the promotion of our order and the recruitment and retention of New Members. Local jurisdictions will be eligible for the purposes listed below and other related activities. Keep in mind that the committee will be the final judge of what does and does not fall into our criteria. In addition the committee reserves the right to award grants at lower amounts than those requested. 1) Fees paid to secure recruitment and promotional tables at local events.
EXAMPLES OF GRANT ELIGIBLE ACTIVITIES
2) Advertising fees paid to local media outlets (newspaper, radio as well as Billboards, adopt a highway programs or other advertising tools) 3) Printing Fees resulting from producing local pamphlets, flyers or posters promoting membership in the AOH 4) Costs incurred when running a specific event to attract new members. 5) Sponsorships of community events and groups that promote the AOH and its mission, specifically cultural or catholic events and groups 6) Sponsoring programs and speakers in local schools to promote the AOH and its goals including but not limited to the Great Hunger curriculum and the development and mission of the AOH 7) Sponsoring exhibits in local areas such as the National AOH history and other programs that may assist in AOH recruitment 8) Sponsoring Irish programs on Public television where the AOH logo will be used and AOH recruitment promoted 9) Purchasing ads in church bulletins for membership recruitment 1) Purchasing or replacing a marching banner for a parade
EXAMPLES OF ACTIVITIES THAT ARE NOT GRANT ELIGIBLE
2) Purchasing T-shirts or other apparel for Division members. 3) Paying expenses for any event that you already run in your jurisdiction and use for recruitment 4) Supporting social events for current members 5) Supporting any event that has a secular political purpose 6) Supporting any event or company that goes against the teachings of our Church or its values
